Dr Yvonne Power at IMARC 2025

On Thursday 23^rd October, Dr Yvonne Power, Non-Executive Director of the Asset Management Council (AMC) of Australia, represented the AMC at the International Mining & Resources Conference (IMARC) 2025 in Sydney, Australia.  The event included an AMC-hosted panel on Maximizing Mining Value through Asset Management Excellence and an innovation stream discussing the Challenges Threats & Opportunities related to Innovative Mine Management.

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and asset management within the mining sector presents significant opportunities to enhance productivity, safety, cost efficiency, and strategic resilience.  Achieving these benefits, however, requires organizations to address challenges related to systems integration and data management, adapt to cultural and organizational change, and proactively mitigate risk associated with cybersecurity.
